My internship at Vectioneer was truly an amazing experience. From the very first day, I felt welcomed into a team of smart, enthusiastic people who are incredibly proud of what they do. The atmosphere is open and informal, like being part of a close-knit group of friends or even a family. Everyone is always ready to help and explain things, but they also give you the space to figure things out and learn on your own.
I not only gained a lot of technical knowledge but also developed professional skills such as presenting, project management, and representing a company. At Vectioneer, you really get the opportunity to challenge yourself and grow, both personally and professionally.

During my four-month internship at Vectioneer, I had the incredible opportunity to work on navigation, both theoretically and practically. My main tasks involved developing Python scripts to interact with their software, Motorcortex, as well as exploring additional tools like ROS and Gazebo. Additionally, I worked on a laser scanner simulator, replicating a Hokuyo scanner, which was an exciting and rewarding challenge.
One of the aspects I appreciated the most was the level of autonomy I was given. I was able to work on different sides of the industry, including backend development and collaborating with external companies to test product integration with Motorcortex. This exposure provided me with valuable insights into both software development and industry partnerships.
Overall, this was the best internship I could have hoped for. The combination of technical learning, supportive colleagues, and hands-on experience made it an unforgettable journey. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an enriching internship experience!

During my thesis internship at Vectioneer, I researched how different business models in the software industry affect profitability. To do this, I built a comprehensive dataset of software companies, including Vectioneer, and learned how to apply econometric methods along the way, which allowed me to arrive at concrete results.
This experience taught me how to translate academic knowledge into real-world insights. Beyond writing my thesis, I gained valuable hands-on exposure to the business side of a complex and highly technical company.
What made the internship especially rewarding was the supportive and open culture at Vectioneer. I always felt encouraged to share ideas, ask questions, and learn from colleagues with deep expertise. This not only strengthened my professional skills but also made the internship an enjoyable and inspiring experience.
